Hi everyone! My husband was recently laid off and we are considering moving to a larger market. He is an accountant, so that is top on our priorities and one of the main reasons we are considering a move. We live in Franklin outside of Nashville right now and really love it but the job market isn't panning out that well right now. I would love to find a city similar to Franklin but connected to a larger market. Also, I have lived in the Southeast all my life and love the friendliness and weather down here so would ideally like to stay in this region. Anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think Cary is out b/c my husband doesn't like NC for some reason. I love it though! Do you know what the economy is like in any of those cities?

Are you primarily looking for cities with similar or warmer climates?

For warm weather and a larger metro area you might consider the Tampa Bay area, which is the 18th largest MSA (Nashville is 37th). The job market may or may not be any better but it certainly is a nice place to live. Check out the Westchase, East Lake and Fishhawk Ranch areas which bear similarity to Franklin.
