What are the top 3 U.S. cities that when you speak to other people (no this does not mean you) that most people seem to like the most? Where everytime you hear someone say "I went to ******* and love it there."
From my experience:
1. San Francisco
2. Chicago
3. San Diego
I have found that almost everyone that I know when they mention having visited those cities it's one of their favorites.
I have found many people find NYC, LA and Las Vegas very polarizing.
I think other cities that I always hear people really liking on visits are Seattle, New Orleans and Denver.
Chicago and San Francisco are both very polarizing. I know many people who do not like either city. Chicago is more unpopular than SF. Chicago has also become more and more unpopular among my peers in recent years.
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Well you're certainly going to get a variety of responses but I do agree that these three....
1. San Francisco
2. Chicago
3. San Diego
...are among my favorites and would love to return to any of them many times over.
NYC, LA and Las Vegas are not among my favorites. NY/LA are take it or leave it for me and too big for me to want to stay more than a few days. Vegas I just don't care for at all and wouldn't go there on my own dime.
