I can guarantee you less people hate on a mid sized city like Minneapolis or Tampa then they do on San Francisco, Chicago, and San Deigo.
Or maybe dependent on geography?

I am just looking what people's experiences are in general. This isn't so a unanimous choice is made. For example people who are from NYC might prefer very urban cities, so they might like CHicago, SF and Boston more.

People who live in Seattle and probably are active in the outdoors prefer cities like San Diego, Denver or Honolulu. I dunno I am just making it up, but I am just curious to see what people's experiences have been.

1.Miami
2.San Fransisco
3.Boston

Mine :T

Mostly for scenery and efficiency. Boston has a cool college town look to it with nice businesses.

I'd say San Diego, Boston, and Seattle. These are three cities that are really hard to dislike.

Other popular cities like NYC, LA, Chicago, SF, and DC seem to have as many haters as they do fans.

I tend to like most of the cities mentioned above (and generally can find something to like about every town) except San Diego, which for me has little to recommend beyond the consistent weather.

Three cities that usually live up to their praise or that people unanimously like:

1. New York City
2. San Francisco
3. Chicago (except NY'ers and some other East Coasters who compare it to NYC)

Honorable mentions: Portland, Seattle, Denver, San Diego, D.C, Minneapolis and Boston

Three cities that don't seem to live up to their expectations or inflated status:

1. Miami
2. Las Vegas
3. Phoenix

Honorable mentions: Chicago (for the other side of that argument), Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Columbus (personal opinion is that it's overly praised in Ohio at least), Orlando, LA and Austin (usually liked, and I did too, but didn't get the hype).

*Caveat: This is just in my personal experience, and not necessarily the viewpoint of the rest of the world or what's most popular.
