To honestly answer the question, I'd prefer MA, but it will depend on where. I'm thinking that I'd go with the nicer parts of Dorchester, Cambridge, Malden, Milton, Randolph, Amherst, parts of Springfield, parts of Worcester, Medford, Somerville, Salem, Hyannis and some others.
Actually I would move to neither state. I would recommend this cities for you. Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Charlotte and DC.
On the flip side, in some aspects, Boston teams were ahead of the curve in terms of Black athletes. One of the articles mentions this. So, it isn't necessarily cut and dry in that regard.
Come to Washington state, you will like it, new experiences everyday
A friend mentioned to me one time I should visit Seattle, I was residing in St. Louis at the time,
she said I would really enjoy it compared to Missouri.
The job market is highly competitive in MA. That is to be expected in such a highly educated area. I see why you would draw the ethnic AA card.
It would be easier to work around here if you were say, West Indian (French/Spanish WI, to be specific) or African (Non-English Speaking nation). Being bilingual is huge in this market, especially speaking Spanish.
But if you're a Black male, I think that you could find something within time. MA companies love to show off "Diversity".
I'm black and currently live in New York State. I either want to stay in downstate New York State or want to live somewhere on the west coast DUE TO my career.I wouldn't move somewhere solely due to race (unless the race relations were absolutely catastrophic).
I'm black and I would NOT live in Florida. Generally speaking, blacks really have a hard time in that state for several reasons (even by normal US standards). Not only due to the obvious discrimination/racial profiling/legal framework but b/c blacks rarely financially excel in Florida. I've been to Miami a few times and the vast majority of the native blacks are just stuck in the ghetto lifestyle/mentality and just plain defective and trainwrecks. Most of the blacks in Florida with prospects, upward mobility and goals move up to Atlanta or elsewhere. Florida can be a lovely place to visit but not to live if your a black person seeking a prosperous lifestyle with comparable people to relate to then I couldn't recommend it..
I don't know much about Massachussets though.
and the majority of blacks in NYC arent in this exact predicament ?......
clearly you've been watchin too much TV

You probably mean African American. Because West Indians and Africans in NYC aren't in that predicament to that extent.
