Definitely new about the mules for the postal service. They live at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Imagine how crowded the bottom would be if you could take a car down there!

The NFL's Chicago Bears were first known as the "Staley Bears." They were organized in Decatur (Illinois) in 1920. (First the Bears, now ADM! Poor Decatur.)

The A. E. Staley company (now a part of Tate & Lyle) sponsored a football team based in Decatur that played in the APFA (now the NFL) in 1920 as the "Decatur Staleys". George Halas bought the team and moved it to Chicago in 1921, but part of the deal that allowed him to purchase and relocate the team required that he continue to use the name "Staleys" for one season. Therefore, the 1921 APFA championship was won by the Chicago Staleys. In 1922, Halas changed the name to the Bears as a counterpoint to the Chicago Cubs, with whom they shared Wrigley Field, and Bears they remain today.
