Seattle is really soft. There are businesses that have signs saying they are a safe space. My friend wore a Trump shirt through the very liberal, artsy capitol hill district and the opposition to it was so passive it was amazing to see. For example, a group of young men went behind his back and pretended they were hitting him without saying a word.

Boston is not a soft city. Cambridge and Somerville are very soft. But Boston and some cities Lear it are harder than they are soft for sure. Especially pockets of inner-city Boston. Gangs and physical fights are commonplace. They can be intense. It’s harder than NYC for certain.

Most accurate. I’d add Hartford to the hard list and Providence to Mediun.

Fort Lauderdale is medium.

But 99% of the crime there is black and brown and those neighborhoods have EXTREMELY high crime rates. You’re using a 1960s stereotype and Hollywood. VERY LARGE parts Boston (and Everett and Brockton and Lynn and Chelsea etc), compared to the rest of the country, is pretty hard.

But yea compared to Philly it’s not that bad at all.

I’ve never heard any city being referred to as “hard.” The premise of the thread is silly.
