My vote would probably go to Northern Idaho, or possibly parts of Maine and Nevada. The southwestern corner of Oregon/northwestern corner of California is also very wild, as well as the Big Bend region of Texas.

Florida is an honorable mention. Bears, gators, sharks, snakes, jellyfish, etc. etc.

I'm guessing he's talking about the least populated/developed.

In our neck of the woods, that title goes to the Okefenokee Swamp area in far Southeast Georgia.

In all my 23 years (no, that's not my age) of living in the state of Georgia, I have never been there, but I have seen the stats. I need to get off the computer and check it out at some point. LOL

Based off of very little certainty and even though they have large enough populations, I would imagine Washington and Oregon seem like a good place to get very lost and go very insane quickly, given the dramatic scenery, rain, and rugged coastlines. It's like an intimidating beauty.

I thought he was talking about wild as in animals and scary nature. Stuff like that...

Wyoming, least populous state. Has some pretty wild country.

Most of Nevada, away from Vegas or Reno.

Eastern Oregon, yikes!

Texas Big Bend area.

Northern half of Maine.
