I can't believe I missed your thread. This will become useful over the next couple months. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Since I last posted, I went to a couple cities for a couple days; Columbus back in July, and I just got back from Raleigh. I liked Columbus. I was neutral toward Raleigh (slightly better than Baltimore, in my opinion).
While in both Columbus and Raleigh, I was doing a little thinking. As much as I still dislike living where I currently live, I have to stay for a little while longer. My plan is to seek better employment here so I can pay off the student loans quicker. Once they're taken care of, that'll give me some freedom to go more places.
The new city can wait. I'm focusing on the new job for now.
