Anywhere with too much sun is annoying to me. I need my cloudy days. I also need thunderstorms, I absolutely love them. A few blizzards as well. Otherwise I'm quite happy with it around 75 degrees.

I would take Chicago and strip out those lake-enhanced cool days in March and April which are annoying, and then bring winter to an end a month or so early and I would be happy. Chicago from April 15th through January 15th is perfect for me.

Plenty of folks that think Atlanta has sucky weather. Not everyone loves 7 or 8 months of hot, muggy weather and 4 months of grey, damp depression.

Well Atlanta has the same weather as every state from Mississippi to Virginia....generally speaking. Mississippi gets it first, then Georgia and then VA/etc.

Atlanta has even seasons. I see 3 months of hot weather, 6 months of weather that oscillates between chilly and warm, and 3 months of cold weather.

It is better than the midwest IMHO. Citydata posters seem to love cold weather but in reality most people prefer warmer climates.

I live about 3 hours from Atlanta, and I don't think that's true at all. It routinely hits 80 by mid April, and doesn't start cooling off appreciably until early October. The "winters" are little more than a cooling off period, where daytime highs around 50 degrees are the norm and not the exception.

Cities like Kansas City, St. Louis, and Boston have four distinct and even seasons. Even Albuquerque has more variety in climate than Atlanta.

I lived in Atlanta, 80 is not hot, it's warm. And in april it can become 60s, which is cool. Atlanta get's snow in the winter, I don't know what more you need. Those places mentioned are not "even seasons" but rather cold weather cities.

I just peeked at the 10 day Atlanta forecast

70/49 <---chilly
73/58 <---chilly
77/65 <---comfortable
82/53 <---warm in the day, chilly at night
75/55 <---comfortable
69/56 <---chilly
67/53 <---chilly
69/51 <---chilly

I forgot how cold Atlanta was, it's late April. This kind of cold weather we don't even get here in the winter.
