Joe's special is a skillet made dish with spinach, ground beef, egg, olive oil, onion
some put ketchup on it, but i'm a purist and won't (kind of like putting ketchup on a Chicago hot dog to me)….having a slice of sour dough bread for dipping, however, is more than acceptable.
i like it here but miss a good carne asada burrito and rolled tacos!
I actually visited Roanoke about a year ago and there was a few really good cuban place and a really good brazilian place. I was kind of surprised to find great cuban and brazilian food in a little mountain town
New York City - Pizza, pastrami, bagels, dirty water hot dogs, chicken/lamb and rice halal carts, new york strip steak, waldorf salad, lobster newberg, manhattan clam chowder (meh), cheesecake, martinis, manhattans are probably the most well known and distinctively new york.

God I love those lamb and rice halal carts in NYC!
I would say San Diego is distinctly known for its fish tacos since plenty of other cities are known for their own style of Mexican cuisine from local shops/restaurants.
