And where, exactly, did I "proclaim I would never shop there?" Or didn't you read past the first few words?

I work for Walmart. At least once a day I hear a disgruntled customer say "I'm never shopping here again!". I just want to say, "Okay. You have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow". And I always do!
As for how people dress at my store...the same as they dress to go to Safeway, Fry's and other business establishments. I don't very often see people dressed weird but we do get the odd one in pjs. Not that many though. My store sees people from ALL economic levels, mainly because we are the ONLY Walmart in a 50 mi. radius.
While Walmarts do cater to an "interesting" clientele (I really only go there to pick up boat parts when the local West Marine Store is closed), nothing beats a Winco store- especially in the 909 area code... Prices are super good, but their customers look like a bunch of deranged, methamphetamine-fueled carnies.
It's a thread that asks people to be observant and analytical, and maybe say something positive about somebody, so of course, it's not for everyone. But a lot of people disappointingly posted replies that had nothing to do with he question, so sometimes the body of replies makes a thread stupid.
If this has not already been said, there are many upscale or wealthy people who shop at Wal-Mart. Just because you become successful with your finances doesn't mean you stop shopping where prices are lower. How do you think people got there to begin with? Perhaps because they are frugal? What a concept!
Same with Aldi in some parts of the country. Many well to do shop there. Check the parking lots. While nice cars do not necessarily mean that rich folks shop at Aldi, Winco, or Wal-Mart, it probably is a pretty good barometer.
