Thats why it depends how cold. I wouldn't want Halloween in the snow, that wouldn't feel right. Snow is for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

There's an urban legend that it always snows in Denver on Halloween. The reality is there's about a 50% chance of there being snow on the ground, not necessarily coming down from the sky. It's usually pretty cold though, average low is 34 degrees on Oct. 31.

I liked Halloween in suburban Connecticut (good decorations and lots of pretend-creepy older homes) and Northern NJ (closely placed houses and lots of people giving out full-sized candy bars.) Halloween is anticlimactic here in Oregon, because a significant portion of the population seems to be in costume 365 days a year. It's still one of my favorite holidays, though.

We actually did have a white Christmas here in northeast Texas a couple of years ago. 2 inches. About right.

I don't see why not lol Thanksgiving is the transition into the Christmas season.

Really for me; Thanksgiving can go either way. More autumnal with chilly air and a few leaves hanging on trees, or wintry with snow falling though not tooo cold. But not hot, thats for sure!

Yea I'll certainly be comfortable dressed up like Darth Vader in 78 degree humid weather

I grew up spending Halloween in Florida. It was fun, going trick or treating and dressing up and all that, but most years the weather sucked for the holiday.

I remember back in high school I wrote a Halloween story that took place in Connecticut. Felt like a prime location lol.

Oregon seems to have the gloomy atmosphere for it.

My average low on October 31 is 33°F. But chance of snow on the ground is near zero; a 50% sounds very high to me so the urban legend is understandable.
