Tulsa, Oklahoma with a population of 413K is about to be no longer an example of this with the return of Bell's Amusement Park.

Not anymore for the bolded, the largest park in the Austin area will be COTALand with Palindrome coming to the park.

Will the Big Apple's tri-state metropolis lose its largest park by far?

I consider Six Flags Great Adventure too far south to be part of the Big Apple's tri-state metropolis.

It's placed in that location to serve both NYC and Philly. Most theme parks are placed away from the cities (Keep in mind that Cedar Point is in a small town within a day trip distance of both Cleveland and Detroit as well as Toledo).

Cedar Point has been around since 1870. There were several local amusement parks in both Detroit and Cleveland at that time. Cedar Point, likely due to its proximity between the two and being an early roller coaster juggernaut, did make it the winner. But it was not originally built with the expectation it would serve both Cleveland and Detroit.
