Say if an upper middle class person or family wanted a city/urban neighborhood in your area, what would be some that you would suggest to them? This could be any type of neighborhood from those that are strictly single family home neighborhoods to those with apartments or anything in between.

In the Louisville/So.Indiana where I am, there is an abundance of options, as will be with most larger areas. However, here a few that fit the bill, are safe, etc...

The entire East End area of Louisville
The Highlands, Cherokee, and Crescent Hill/Clifton Areas of Louisville
Along the outskirts of Louisville as well like Fern Creek & Jeffersontown

Across the river in Indiana-

Floyds Knobs
Sellersburg
Georgetown
Some areas of New Albany & Jeffersonville as well

Where would you draw the line at "upper middle" household income?

US household income by percentile (approximate)
95th percentile = 240k
90th percentile = 175k
75th percentile = 115k

Milwaukee

Anything from the Historic Third Ward to the North Shore suburbs.

Historic Third Ward
Downtown
East Side (both Upper and Lower)
Shorweood
Whitefish Bay

(after that it starts to get a lot more suburban-y but still upper middle class/wealthy)

Fox Point
Bayside
River Hills
Mequon

In short, downtown Milwaukee north along the lake shore. And Brookfield .

I’ll go with at least the 75th percentile, as that income would be pretty high in most places. With that said, for the higher income areas, I’ll go with the 90th percentile.
