Furthermore, by CSA, it becomes apparent that for all the talk of diversity, most of this country is White+Black, and there's nothing wrong with that btw.

Los Angeles and the Bay Area are the least tied to White/Black hegemony among the large CSAs, followed by Houston and Miami.
The Bay is obviously very diverse, but lets not pretend for a moment that San Jose is anywhere near as diverse as the DC urban area on an ethnic level. San Jose has a higher percentage of foreign born people but they come from far fewer countries (really just India, China, and Vietnam). DC has those but also a massive number of immigrants from Africa and an incredibly diverse Latin American population.
Weve seen that Washington DC is THE most racially diverse urban area in the US. But I think the case is there that its the 2nd most ethnically diverse metro area in the US after NYC too.
From 2010-2019, the immigrant increases over 10k were as follows:
Washington DC - 6 Countries
El Salvador: 32,473
India: 31,094
Guatemala: 26,779
China: 20,349
Afghanistan: 16,338
Ethiopia: 15,152
San Francisco - 3 Countries
India: 70,580
China: 34,080
Afghanistan: 12,187
San Jose - 3 Countries
China: 50,250
India: 45,224
Vietnam: 10,663
Basically the Bay Area is piling on immigrants faster but they come from far fewer places. DC doesnt have the same number, but they come from a lot more places. You could say the Bay is more international, but definitely not more diverse.
India, Ethiopia and Afghanistan in that order are the three most diverse countries on this list. Followed by Vietnam and far down the list China and even further the Central American countries. Now of course immigrants tend to be highly selected from a few regions of countries depending on the city. But the chances are 9/10 when talking ethnic diversity 100 people randomly from India is a more diverse group than 100 people randomly from South America or likely the Americas. Now immigration doesn’t work that way, so their is likely less diversity especially class-wise in the group from India than on paper. I understand the focus because it’s part of the limited data we have. But I feel like saying three or four countries and having India at the top is a misnomer. It might be one country but it’s the majority of a subcontinent.

Los Angeles and Miami's diversity is constantly being downplayed on CD due to the high Hispanic population, but at CSA level, LA and Miami are less Hispanic than NY and DC are White. Isnt that Interesting?

Miami yes. Los Angeles no.
The reason is that all of Miami’s international community comes from Latin America and the Caribbean. There is no Asian or African diversity.

Who cares about CSA?
It's really the neighborhood level that matters if you're talking about diversity.

Correct at the CSA level. Baltimore MSA is less diverse than DC MSA. This is well documented and understood here. Funny how to you always run to CSA when losing an argument.
DC is more ethnically diverse than SF and SJ both.
