If you're a Maple Leafs fan, they play in Nashville on March 19th (which is a Saturday), so take that into consideration, and a lot of early spring flowers/trees should be in bloom.

My picks would be...

Henry Ford Museum, suburban Detroit

Neil Armstrong astronaut museums, Wapakoneta Ohio

Maybe split trip by staying in Cincinnati. Also consider the zoo (home to world famous Fiona the Hippo), Underground Railroad museum, and art museum

Louisville slugger baseball bat museum, Muhammad Ali Center, or Kentucky Derby museum at Churchill Downs

Highly recommend stopping at Bernheim Forest right off I-65 south of Louisville. Do a 45 min walk to view the Forest Giants wood sculptures

Mammoth Cave National Park btw Louisville and Nashville

I’ve never been to the astronaut museum but down the road from there is the Air Force museum and that is truly amazing. It’s the best aviation museum I’ve ever seen. Endless planes....Wright brothers to the modern age.

I'd also add the furthest south Tim Horton's around Dayton or Cincinnati off I-75.
