Again, I didn't intend to include every island (there are hundreds). I just picked four random ones that happen to have distinct vibes. This poll was meant to be fun, but I should have guessed that there would be people taking it too seriously.

How about the San Juan Islands in Puget Sound? Island fever may not be an issue because Seattle is just a 30-60 minute ferry ride away

I went to college on Oahu. After a month, you've pretty much done everything - twice. That's why I picked Key West - still tropical but a quick trip back to the mainland isn't a problem.

That's also the case w/ Santa Catalina Is.

Hawaii is my choice but I haven't been to the other islands.
