Blingnjkblin - What are you looking for in a city? Once we know that, then we can talk about what would fit you better. Until you answer that question, I think it would be silly to even try and answer your question.

Your question is vague and unanswerable as it is written. If I started a thread that stated 'for those who don't like Golden Retrievers' and simply stated that I had owned a Golden Retriever for 3 weeks and didn't quite like it, and could you suggest another dog that would be a better fit without stating what I wanted in a pet, how could you give me advice, it is the same principle.

I think it was a hollow post just used to stir up the waters. I've noticed a lot of "hollow" threads lately on the boards.

What a stupid way to stir up waters. Who cares if he doesn't like Chicago, lots of people don't like Chicago, and for good reason, just like lots of people don't like black licorice. I don't like Indianapolis or Hot Springs, but nobody cares about that either. So what.

Can you just not write your reason of not wanting to live in Chicago long-term? It can also help others who are considering moving to Chicago.

Some people have to move because of high cost of living and wish they could stay. Some people have to move because of jobs. Some people move because of crime.

It's all of a mixture of reasons not only about unhappiness.
Perhaps unhappiness isn't the right word. But if there are more residents leaving a city than there are coming in, that must mean that something is off. Be it happiness, the job market, something.

Anyway, I hope Bling comes back and gives some criteria so we can help him find a new city...
