I lived there for 4 years. I've been everywhere at night. So the nightlife rivals Miami Beach. Great. I retract San Francisco from the Global Cities list. It's officially an overpriced tourist trap.

Edt: Where the hell is Dupoint? Sounds like the Visitor's and Convention Bureau invented a new neighborhood since 2002.

You do relize that over 3 million people work in "the Tourist Trap."

What's your point? It's become the Venice of North America. It's sad, but it's true.

If you take politics out of it and just talk about finance:

New York City
Chicago
Los Angeles
San Francisco

That's it for the major players. Of course there are "global cities" on a smaller scale such as Houston, Atlanta, Miami, etc.
