Reno, there is so much to do. Obviously there is gambling if that is your thing, and it was voted the number 1 city for the outdoors in the US somewhere. Lake Tahoe is nearby, plus you are close to San Francisco and all that northern california has to offer.

Only reason I'd choose Reno over Flag would be more pleasent winter weather, aside from that ... Flag all the way.

People have a bad image of Reno, however it is actually a very nice town. I guess it really depends on what you're looking for.
