I wouldn't call the accent of ND/MN/WI Canadian, maybe Scandinavian(maybe that wouldn't work with all the German ancestry up here though), but we don't say things like "eh" or really have an accent that mirrors Canada. It is similar but the accent we have is also similar to the midwest as well.
It definitely has canadian influence but not the same canadian influence as the north midwest's "canadian accent" (which is also questionable). Quebec has a very different ummm.... "accent" than Ontario.
Overall, a valiant effort but many people will have issues with this. Almost every city east of the Mississippi thinks it has it's own very unique accent. Personally, I think a Maine accent or even a Rhode Island accent is different than a Boston accent. Hell, people have different accents depending on what side of Boston they live in. I'm sure Philly boosters will be furious. If Baltimore had any boosters they would be too.
