This seems a bit too generic. I would like to offer an opinion, but the specifications are vague. Plus, the definition of the Pacific Northwest is narrow in the poll. To me, the PNW includes WA, OR, ID. However, no Idaho locations are offered.

don't get me wrong, Idaho is a fantastic state. Coeur d' Alene (sp?) is amazing from what I saw when I passed through. I'm just looking for a more "artsy" type city, I suppose.
OK, that gives me more to go on. Artsy...hmm. Let me think on that.
Seattle and Vancouver.
But, yet, I still need more info. Artsy tends to equate with bigger cities. If you want bigger cities in the PNW, then, again Seattle, Portland, Vancouver. Smaller cities with a burgeoning art scene...perhaps Eugene, Olympia, Bellingham, and by gawd, even Boise (warning...in Idaho!) but all a stretch.
Nothing personal, but to give you real suggestions I believe you need to be more specific in what you are looking for in a community. Hey, we all want to be helpful on this site, but we need more to work with.
