Since you are in Pensacola and it is only black and white, it isn't really diverse.
Diversity is when you have a large spectrum of people...and a large spectrum of cultures and events and restaurants and everything else you can imagine...and a ton of people with a ton of different thinking and ideas on things.
I think people who live in non-diverse areas...or places with just black and white Americans...they adhere more to a singular interpretation of life and living...and develop a preference for it. Making diversity threatening or minimum, simply not interesting, or too much to deal with.
If a person has had a lot of diversity with thoughts, opinions, people, ideas, etc...it gets almost impossible to try to conform yourself to one singular non-diverse interpretation of life/living.
So, in other words, completely a personal preference.
