Slide Mountain is 4200 feet high and One World Trade Center is 1776 feet high.

As the crow flies, the distance is about 90 miles.

The distance to the horizon from the top of Slide Mountain to a object 1776 feet high is ~103-104 miles.
One World Trade Center is 1,368 high without the antenna so it's highly unlikely. I once saw it from El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure which is 45 miles, half of that, yet it was VERY hard to see.

Interesting! Do you have to be in the monument? I haven't been up to the top of it much. I have never spotted it from the base.

The fun is how far away you can see a specific city. Not all cities are next to mountain ranges. It's pretty cool to see NYC from 45 miles away, even it would be no big deal to see a city like Denver which is close to some very high mountains.

Tallahassee from about 6 miles away. If you look closely you can see the state capitol and another building.

Here's a pic of lower Manhattan I just took from Hempstead, NY. Sorry for the crappy quality, that window needs to be washed lol.

You can see the WTC just to the left of the water tower.

I'd try to get a clearer shot but I don't want to look like a weird guy taking pictures.

What skyline? I can see the city lights from my house about 7-8 miles away. You won't see much farther than that because the hills/mountains begin.

When we were kids in Ohio and let loose in Cedar Point for the day, it was always fun to try to see over to Windsor, ON if it was clear enough. You had to be on a ride but it was possible.

Speaking of Ohio, any chance of seeing either Cleveland or Detroit from the Perry Monument in Put-In-Bay?

Heading south on the Interstate 95 flyover (about 80 feet high) with the Miami skyline about 20 miles away.Sorry but this is the highest point in south Florida since we have no hills!

You can't see mainland Canada from the top of Top Thrill Dragster nor Millennium Force.

You can however see Middle Island which is an island in Lake Erie and the southernmost point in Canada.
