Nope. I was born in San Francisco, lived in Burlingame, San Mateo, and Sacramento the first 5 years and then Ventura County 32 years with 2 of those years in San Jose for college. Moved to Iowa in 1994 for my now ex-husband’s job and after our divorce I stayed here due to the low COL and kids in school. Now I can’t afford to move back but have a nice life here. I would move back in a heartbeat if housing wasn’t so outrageous though. I have one brother who still lives in Ventura County and another brother in Colorado. My mother passed away 2-1/2 years ago after living in Thousand Oaks 55 years in the same house i grew up in.

Yes for me. Born and raised in Washington State, but lived in Idaho, California, Oklahoma, Alaska, Oregon, Illinois, Idaho again, then back to my current and native Washington. Intend to stay right here.
I’m a couple hundred yards from the old wood school house where I used to walk to first and second grade. I lived in metro Boston doing high tech for most of my life but never lost contact with the coastal town I grew up in. I bought a summer house 11 years ago as my future retirement house and telecommuted from it in the summer.
I had lived in eleven states and two countries by the time I was 18 so no. Heck, I don't even know where I was raised! All over? I wasn't even raised in one REGION of the US though I will gladly and thankfully say I did spend the majority of my time in the southeast and mid Atlantic regions.
