The world's largest confederate flag flys outside of the Tampa right next too a very busy interstate. Its not really a bad thing because its flown as a memorial to confederate troops, but people take it out of context.

Tampa has a lot of strip clubs and most of them are on the most busy streets in the city

In sports, Tropicana field in St Pete is probably the worst baseball park in the country, and the Bucs have the longest losing streak in NFL history.

Dayton, my metro, tries really hard to make the city nice, but its doesn't often succeed.
There is a very negative minset in the metro. Most of my classmates are probably never gonna set foot in Dayton again after they finish college.

It's too hot most summers in Denver. 33 days of above 90 degrees in an average summer, some of those above 100 degrees. And forget this nonsense about "dry heat" being less "felt". Hot is hot.

Boston has had the same mayor since 1993, and re-elected again in 2009! It also has the dubious honor of having the ugliest city hall on the planet, it looks like cold Soviet block construction that could be the city hall of a medicre Russian city. Massachusetts politicians tend to hold seats for as long as members of the royal family hold the throne.

btw I enjoy this thread for it is a lighthearted way of poking fun at ourselves without pushing buttons, kudos to the OP for warding off trolls and keeping the thread in good spirits with a bit of humor.

Oklahoma city is probably the most dangerous Metro in the US for Tornadoes. The city of Moore alone has been hit by 2 F4's and an F5 in the past 11 years. Yikes!

Haha, I actually kind of LIKE Boston's city hall! I know that it initially looks like an ugly block, but look at all the angles and how it's built into the ground almost. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

From another point of view Boston's city hall looks like a historical relic of the 1960's, which in itself is sort of edgey and nostalgic. However I just look at city halls in San Francisco and Philadelphia with envy

Boston

San Francisco

Philadelphia

We also paid oodles and oodles of money to entice an NBA team to Memphis in 2000, a team that came in for last place in 96, 97, and 99, but hey, at least now we can say we have a professional sports team.
perhaps the Grizzlies were doomed to fail when they originally thought that it would be a bright idea to bring the NBA to Vancouver!

How proud I am.
Portland is also the proud home of Sally Struthers...
