Cartersville is much better. Calhoun is very segregated even the churches. Cartersvile is much better in quality of life, a vibrant downtown and is very well kept.

Calhoun is about 70 miles north of Atlanta. I wouldn't live there if I were you. It's a very small town with an outlet off the interstates. There's is not much to do there. The closet cities over 30,000 people is Rome and Dalton. That's where people in Calhoun dgo for most of their shopping. Chattanooga is the closet city with a population of 100,000. The economy...well I know they're a few mills there but I'm not sure about anything else.

The poster above did give you a better options and that's Cartersville. I wouldn't choose Rome either because it doesn't have interstate access and it's barely growing.

Note: Adairsville, Calhoun, and Cartersville are not really that close to the Mountains.

IMHO, being close to the mountains means that they are at least within sight distance.

You got me, responding to a post that is 12 years old.

I really like that there’s now a Buc-ee’s travel center located nearby at I-75 and Union Grove Road.

I don't love Calhoun. It's home to Mohawk and Shaw and basically the majority of the flooring industry, so much of the town was built around that. It has a failing outlet mall as well. I much prefer Cartersville, Ringgold, Rome
