... when there is a forum for Columbus, Macon, and Savannah. But none for Athens, where several students, post docs, etc are relocating every semster. As well as where other economy drivers exist (and people do move in from out of town) -- such as the main hospitals for northeast GA, huge physician facilities, manufcaturing facilities etc.

Can someone can clarify the logic. And/or what needs to be done to start an Athens forum.

Someone raised a similar question a few months ago. However, nothing came of it.

For the record, I agree with you completely. Athens is becoming somewhat of a hotter topic on the Georgia forum, and it deserves not to be buried under, say, inquiries about tiny places like McIntyre.

I agree. To the OP: The mods will probably pick up on this soon and respond.

FWIW, Prescott, AZ (which has its' own forum) has a metro pop. of about 103M; Athens has about 189M.

Yes, Athens seems to be getting a lot of attention on C-D these days...I see it mentioned frequently in the General US/City v City forums as well as a small Southern city with good QOL. Oconee County should be included as part of such a forum due to its' growing popularity as a bedroom community for Athens.

A bedroom community of Athens with comparatively higher priced houses. It's a pretty nice looking place, but it seems kinda sleepy.
