NORCROSS — One of Gwinnett’s biggest employers is bringing even more jobs to the community.

Officials announced Thursday that RockTenn will consolidate its Chicago and metropolitan St. Louis operations to Gwinnett, bringing 500 new jobs and $5 million in capital investments to the county.

That's great news and Fortune 500 too.

I'm jealous because we don't see this kind of thing down here in FL.

500 positions will be moved here, not 500 newly created jobs. Still, great news, I guess.

Not all of those 500 folks will either want, or be able to afford, to come here. So there will at least be some jobs available. As with the Minneapolis Delta shakeup, at least 10% of their workers found other positions with airlines in their current area and didn't move.
