"Savannah" is not one entity that acts in certain ways...you obviously have individuals acting all sorts of ways, and like everywhere else you'll have some who are accepting and tolerant but others who aren't. It's that way everywhere on Earth - you have to take the good with the bad.

Savannah is a beautiful city with lots to offer, but there is a bit of a problem with random crime. But it's not so much that I would be afraid of living there.

Weather in the summer, what's that like? Is Humidity lower due to the Ocean?

I am not trying to answer for the original poster, but I do feel the need to speak up here. Just because one is not a minority does not mean this isn't a concern for them. Lots of people who are not members of minority groups do not tolerate racism.
My husband and I were just speaking about this today; we are in the early stages of researching a cross country move. One thing that is important to us is to make sure we end up in an area that is tolerant of all races and diversity. Yes, we are caucasuan, but we have no interest in raising our children in a place that doesn't support diversity and equality. I think that to assume only minorities care about these things is inaccurate.

Eh, typically humidity is HIGHER due to proximity to an ocean, not lower..

An ocean breeze, however, is a different story.
