At worst, this looks like it refers to women getting abortions in Georgia. Not elsewhere and returning to Georgia.

I stand corrected. Thanks!

How the heck do you even enforce that? Will there be some sort of national database of women who have received the procedure?

I heard this reported too, but I don't remember where. I remember thinking back at the time I heard it that there was no way that could be enforced. I haven't read the actual text of the bill so I don't know if the bill actually provides for that or if it was just mistaken reporting. The stuff that actually is in the bill is so outrageous I can't rule anything out.

Still, if one can't be punished for such a crime, it begs the question of why they would include the language in the bill in the first place.

I find it hard to believe lawyers didn't go over the legislation before they voted on it to determine what may or may not be enforceable.

This bill was specifically written to be challenged in court and force SCOTUS to reexamine Roe V Wade. As of now Row V Wade is the law if the land which makes bills like this unenforceable. They are gambling on getting this to SCOTUS and having Roe V Wade overturned. Unless that happens, nothing has changed. Even though the court is more conservative, I would not expect a total reversal of Roe V Wade
