There is a road in northern forsyth county I believe called jot em down rd.
It's actually just a road that connects what was two communities; Five Forks and Trickum. I live right off of that road.

Default Pronunciation questions

I'm wondering about the local pronunciations for the Doboy Sound (DO-boy or duh-BOY?) and for the Rockdedundy River (and where did the name Rockdedundy come from, does anybody know?) Thanks!

I don't know, how to pronounce that, but you revived a very old, amusing thread.

Trickum in Gwinnett is a strange name given to a road/area, never really thought of that.

I always thought Bolingbroke near Macon, a so-named exit on 75 sounded sort of funny, because I associate it with "boiling broke."

Columbia County has a place called Pumpkin Center. Not a real town, just an intersection really. It has a convenience store.

I'm glad Cumming, GA, and Climax, GA are at opposite ends of the state. Otherwise, it could be....messy.

Waycross confounds me. I mean, I get Midway (mid-way between X and Y) or even Between (same concept). But how to work "way cross" into a sentence? Is the town "way cross the Okeefenokee from us"?

I thought it funny that not too far from Climax is the town of Recovery.
