as a baby, no I could not do that, but I would make sure than I would have made sure not to spare his life during WW I.

Wouldn't locking him in a cupboard result in his death by eventual starvation anyways? It is essentially killing him in an indirect manner, right? I'll have to find and watch the episode...sounds interesting.
