Don't have such a limited perspective. I've known a number of El Salvadoreans who are escaping gang violence AND seeking economic opportunity. It's not necessarily one or the other. And don't make it sound as if they're all sucking the blood out of our economy. Many work for small American companies who don't pay them legal wages and hire them for jobs that few Americans will accept. Families I've known are so desperate to remain under the radar that they don't apply for assistance of any type for fear that their status will be discovered. Next time you eat a salad, think about whether you'd work for the pay some of the pickers worked for to give you that salad.

You need to get out more instead of just speaking the regular talking points.

Plus, some of them are escaping gang violence, rape, etc. They'll happily crawl through the desert and go for days without food just to get away from all that danger. Maybe that IS the type of person some American companies should hire... someone who's willing to do all it takes to make a living in the land of opportunity. Not some lazy American who already has stuff handed to him on a silver platter
Employers do not take seriously people who break the law (ie, those who jump the broder or illegaly overstay a visa aka liars). This is why illegal aliens occupy the lowest rungs of society. Also, it is important when traveling to foreign countries not to insult the country's workforce by calling them lazy. The US is a first world amazing country due to the people here including legal immigrants and their descendants. The culture of the US despises law-breakers who deceive and lie for thier own personal gain. There are many crimes that would fall into this category including those who purposefully violate US laws to come here, work illegally, rob from others or from the government, and commit other crimes. It is against our culture in the US.

Its very simple. If some did not get permission to enter the country, deport them, and tell them to get in line behind those who are entering legally. No govt. welfare, foodstamps or free schooling. Return to the rule of law, and the existing system. If they overstay their visa, same thing, theyre gone. The lawlessness is ruining our country. Oh, and make it illegal to employ them.

Why don't you simply click your red shoes three times and make them all vanish?

That has the same chance of working as your proposal.

I didn't expect much from his post when he started with "It's simple".

The problems which face America -- including this one -- are not simple. Which is why we cannot agree on solutions.

Actually, since Trump is in office, the illegals that used to fill the back of our Home Depot parking lot day and night are gone. So, at least the rhetoric of law-enforcement, respecting the US laws has been working to decrease the numbers.
