Battle for the net (lobbyists, lobby, companies, dollars)

I'm sure some of you have heard about this "...cable companies have millions of dollars and armies of lobbyists and public relations firms -- and since they own so much of the communications infrastructure, it's especially easy for them to push their propaganda." All about net neutrality or to let the big companies like comcast and time warner cable. Thoughts on this? Should or shouldn't we be able to search without companies slowing down certain sites?
