Not sure where to post this, and this is a serious question, but is anyone else out there get shy or embarrassed to use the restroom, for #2 specifically?

I don't know why I'm so shy about it.

Anywhere in public, unless it is an absolute emergency, if I see even one stall occupied, I'll go seek out another restroom. Or wait.

Probably one of the factors why I do not like have roommates.

Nope. Had to get over that when I had kids. The kids are in school, but have a cat and a dog who follow me around all day.

I'm bathroom shy in public no matter what I'm doing. And then people try to talk to you in bathrooms, sometimes, as if it isn't already awkward enough.

And when I walk in there is always that moment when someone already in a stall or the bathroom acts sort of weird or just "stops". Whatever that means for them. If they were about to leave the stall, they don't. If they were using the toilet, they aren't, if they were washing their hands, they stop for a moment, etc.
