No, absolutely not. Despite the protestations of pointy headed academics liberalized immigration has been a disaster for the United States and really any country that has tried it. I don't care if the "world is poorer" as a result of closed borders, I care about America. American workers have bent over a barrel by "free" trade agreements and immigration. The same people who told us of the wonders of open immigration also sold us a bill of goods on the trade front. Immigration and NAFTA have gutted the American middle class.
