Just what is going on
No "screening" system exists, as yet. The issue is how to go about putting a working system in place. Problematic...at best. Who would run such a system? What criteria would be used, or is it just an arbitrary decision making process by some psychiatric types, who would likely be on the governments dime. ? There's a lot of unanswered questions. It seems like a simple issue, and people are clamoring for something to be implemented, but...the devils in the details.

A theoretical system of "better" mental health screening based on the current buzzword of "mental health ".

The various gun debates always have a very prominent "mental health " component to them, but rarely if ever does anyone drill down and discuss what that would actually look like in reality.
