As we can see, perhaps this is one time NOT to bring up gun control, huh? Father Paris its time to lock n' load privates.....get ready, they are coming sooner rather than later.

Actually France has one of the highest gun per capita rates in Europe, about 31 per 100,000. Just because there are strict rules about gun ownership, doesn't mean the citizens don't have them. It's a concept that American gun nuts just can't comprehend.

Guns in the hands of citizens would not have stopped the attacks in Paris.

The last time I went to a sporting event or concert they had metal detectors and security patting down everyone. Bottled water wasn't even allowed in because with a cap on it the bottle could be thrown and hurt someone.

The bottom line. If someone or a group wants to do harm they will. They will buy guns, steal them or smuggle them in. If all that fails they will build a bomb.

It is nearly impossible to stop someone who is not afraid to die. The only way to stop them is to stop them from entering the country in the first place. That may not be PC but neither is allowing innocent civilians to be gunned down.

What happened in Paris will happen again and very possibly on US soil. Imagine 6-8 guys doing the damage that they did in Paris now multiply that by the 100,000's of refugees that swarmed into Europe from Syria and elsewhere. Even if 1-2% of them have terrorism on their minds there will be a blood bath. I'm really concerned for this Christmas, a worldwide symbol of Christianity.

Guns in the hands of citizens would do little to stop an attack like in Paris.
