I think both you and the poster to whom you are responding misunderstand the term "crony capitalism." In my book crony capitalism defines a system where a business's success depends more upon the relationship of the businessman to government, or specifically consideration flowing to government officials than to skill.

It can also be inaction of govt to act as referee, if I cant burn your factory down (or fly over and bomb it)and shoot you then you should not be able to steal my intellectual property or manipulate the market so that I go under, manipulate land prices etc.


Some companies skills are in screwing people, sure they also have a valid product line or service but if they protect it to the point of being unethical then you need to go down.
