I'm not talking about the EU, I'm talking about eastern Europe. Russia, the Ukraine. Etc... take a trip there and see how safe you feel.
By "EU" I was referring to Eastern Europe. I'd definitely take a trip to Russia, Ukraine etc. before any kind of gang-infested diverse areas in many parts of the U.S.

That's the point of Diversity; to introduce more points of comparison.
In my experience most people seem to stratify themselves based on socioeconomic class rather than race or ethnicity. Or more succintly the socioeconomic class they grew up in.
