So let's see. There is something wrong with righting historical wrongs. Interesting way of thinking.
It is a problem when the historical *wrongs* are invented. But when it comes to what SJWs learn at the university, one can be sure that the perpetrator of these *wrongs* is ALWAYS the heterosexual, white, Christian male in America or further back in Europe.
You reference "reasonable person". The problem is the all too frequent unreasonable neanderthal. And you can take the premise about is slavery wrong? and find their all too frequent excuses for slavery right here in the politics sub-forum. Statements like:
"Well sure slavery is wrong. But that was a different time that we can't understand".
"Well sure slavery is wrong. But we weren't only country to have slaves".
"Well sure slavery is wrong. But Blacks helped round up slaves in Africa".
"Well sure slavery is wrong. But slavery was around as far back as the Old Testament".
"Well sure slavery is wrong. But Africans had slaves, too."
"Well sure slavery is wrong. But some Black Americans had slaves".
No. No. No. No. No. No.
The butts need to leave off the buts and just say that American slavery was wrong.
And how does ANY of those eleventy-billion add-ons affect ... anything?
Everyone agrees slavery was wrong. No one wants to reinstate it.

Many of them were not Christian. Looking at the countries around the world, I would say they did a remarkably good job... not perfect... but a good job. The U.S. is still the number 1 country people around the world want to move to.
