He didn't ban travel to and from China; he excluded a small portion of those travelers.

His early message was that the entire virus was a "hoax" to divert attention from all the "good work" he was doing.

His early dismantling of the NSC contagious disease and pandemic unit delayed the response. His administration's abandonment of the pandemic playbook delayed the response.

He is only just now beginning to abandon his posturing and allowing the scientists to do their work unfettered.

You need to stop believing everything you hear from the White House and the zealots.

If the job he has been doing is as good as possible, we're in deep stuff.

The civil war established that. The Federal powers rule over state powers.

Does anybody find it ironic that Trump has been pushing back for weeks against the idea of a nationwide shutdown saying it was the state's responsibility and then yesterday abruptly doing an about face saying the president has absolute authority to lift the shutdown for the entire country?

Can you imagine the howls of outrage if Obama had asserted such authority?

He wants credit for the positive and feel-good events (opening up), while avoiding responsibility for the negative (closing down). Typical Trump.

They flip-flop ALL THE TIME and the media never calls them out on it

I know that Courts have been extremely reluctant to construe this provision since it invites endless Court entanglement in State-Federal relations. Is now the time?

On yesterday (4-14-20) Trump said he was having a conference call with the governors. Mostly to discuss when and how the country will open back up for business. I'm glad that there is a conversation going on. How effective? That's another question...

I bet this is a stunt by Trump, (he has no intention of re opening anything soon, every health official and health group are saying its going to be awhile...and we are supposed to believe Trump wants to blow the experts off and do it anyway? LOL Yeah right!

In my opinion, he is making an aggressive attempt to re open places, for the sole purpose of being able to point back at this time, when he aggressively trying to get people back to work...its a stunt, so he can have a talking point 8 months down the road to rub in everyones face who debates him...He will say over and over again, "I tried to get everyone back to work, I tried very hard".

Its all smoke and mirrors from these guys, you cannot trust a single thing they say publicly...Great example of this is when this first started, Trump is on camera NUMEROUS times, downplaying the virus, telling people its nothing at all to worry about, we have it totally under control were his words.
