That's soooo far left that it's right again. Ridiculous.
Not to be confused with the "soooo far right" approach of firing people because they have same sex liaisons at home.

Insurance is nothing more than a business, businesses' offer incentives.

It is a proven fact that it costs more to insure a female over a male.

Cost of medical insurance is not a factor in employment. An employer lays out what they will pay of whatever the employees portion is. Often times, that percentage is company wide, sometimes not. But the point is, an employer is going to X no matter what the bottom line is.

As far as those annoying privacy laws? Be careful what you wish for......
I for one am thankful for them.
My point exactly. The law prevents worse discrimination. But there is no good reason for a standard childbirth to cost so much. The doctor is there only at the very end to catch the baby, cut the cord and make sure everything is OK, and the only other cost is to rent the space for recovery and change diapers.

BTW I'm not wishing for the privacy laws to go away. If anything, they need to be stronger.

Absolutely its ok!

Private business is just that PRIVATE. They should be able to hire who they want to for whatever reason they want to. I don't like racism, but I believe that private business owners should be able to not hire whatever races they don't like.

It doesn't mean I have to buy from the companies I don't like either, but thats my choice. They should have the choice to do whatever they want with their business.

Once the slippery slope is greased with the lost rights of smokers, the fatties, and who's next? You because you wear jeans or you because you like beer, or you because you like........??

The slippery slope never really has a bottom so be very careful what you all wish for and believe.

No, I don't think anyone should be fired for body size or smoking, but maybe they should have to cough up (pun intended) more money for health care costs.

You "don't like racism", but you feel that it's perfectly acceptable for others to practice it? O.K., that really makes sense to me.
