What am I missing? The plate was issued in 2000, on a base that's been in use since 1996, so I guess it did. Is the number significant, or something?

I still don't get it. But the plate is now in its 15th year, so I guess nobody else gets it, either. The Motor Capital base (and all others) was discontinued in 2007, after being issued for 11 years, but people who have it can still get it annually validated, and there are still plenty of them around.

If you're referring to the appropriateness of the slogan, you might recall that Arkansas continued to issue plates bearing the slogan "Land of Opportunity" after Governor Orval Faubus closed all the public schools in the state, rather than integrate them.

Wisconsin isn't America's Dairyland anymore (13%)---California is (19%).

The Supreme Court ruled that New Hampshirites had the right to cut off the slogan that they disagreed with.
