Pesticide atrazine can turn male frogs into females

Monsanto's favorite pesticide ingredient, Atrazine has been decimating the frog population for years, changing males into females thereby ending the reproductive process. Even in minute amounts, is there any wonder the gay population in humans is becoming so common.
It is truly mind boggling that we have allowed this company to poison us all for the sake of a dollar.

US Drinking Water and Watersheds Widely Contaminated by Hormone Disrupting Pesticide, Atrazine

The report reveals that all of the watersheds monitored by EPA and 90% of the drinking water sampled tested positive for atrazine. Contamination was most severe in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, and Nebraska. An extensive U.S. Geological Survey study found that approximately 75 percent of stream water and about 40 percent of all groundwater samples from agricultural areas contained atrazine, and according to the New York Times, an estimated 33 million Americans have been exposed to atrazine through their drinking water systems.
"The extent of contamination we found in the data was breathtaking and alarming," said Andrew Wetzler, Director of NRDC's Wildlife Conservation Program and Deputy Director of NRDC's Midwest Program, as well as one of the report's authors. "The EPA found atrazine almost everywhere they looked. I think that the public will find this hard to swallow and I hope it will help force the EPA to address the situation more aggressively."

I've never encountered the term "sentinel species". How are they different from an indicator species?

Importantly, Relyea stresses that what's likely causing the problem isn't Roundup's active ingredient, glyphosate, but rather the surfactant Monsanto uses to penetrate plant tissues so that glyphosate can effectively kill weeds.

The fact is that mosanto at it's eventual peak will be able to control the food market by making plants that do not reproduce naturally, thus keeping customers constantly returning for more.

It's time for the employment of a little common sense here, folks.

IF Monsanto was going to control the world's food market, it would ALREADY HAVE HAPPENED.

True, but it surely wasn't for a lack of trying. At least some folks are AWAKE about this nonsense! NO GMO FOOD! NO MONSANTO!!!

Why is it so hard to believe that this type of generic engineering does exist? Their seeds are not design to reproduce so why can't this theory be plausible? Years ago no one thought that our government could be bought by corperations either?

If you have to buy seeds every year from them instead of ones that reproduce naturally you are setting yourself to be a slave to whatever price that they set. Not to mention the long affects that they made have

My entire family - for generations - has been in farming. Been there, done that. If everyone would dispense with all this apocalypse hype, there might actually be an intelligent discussion take place. Alas, that is not the case.

Monsanto is not going to destroy the world's commodities, turning all seed into non-reproducing stock. It simply is not going to happen. Period.

Monsanto did not - as previously reported - try to patent the pig, and force every farmer in the world $10 per pig for the patent. Ridiculous.

Monsanto is not introducing pesticides that are destroying the environment. If anything, agricultural herbicides are getting better and better. Most are contact herbicides that do a fantastic job of killing the foliage they touch, then quickly dissipating. Farmers are now using less herbicides than anytime in recent history.

Monsanto is not intentionally exposing billions of people to cancer-causing chemicals, in hopes of taking over the world.

Monsanto is a corporation - aka, a big company. As such, it exists for one purpose - that is, to make money. Monsanto goes about trying to make money the exact same way every other corporation does.

Fortunately, there are a LOT of other big agricultural companies, giving America's farmers almost unlimited choices regarding chemical and crop selection. Life is good. You should try it some time!

But see, here's what you don't seem to understand: NOBODY IS FORCED TO BUY SEEDS FROM MONSANTO!

This is probably a rhetorical question, but do you understand why farmers have to sign a non-replant contract before buying RoundUp Ready Hybrid Seeds from Monsanto?
