Try to sell them online. There are collectors who might be interested to purchase some of your VHS tapes.

DVDs have ~500 lines of resolution. VHS is ~220 lines of resolution. Big difference. Yet I tend to quit noticing the picture quality after awhile.

Take out the film and burn them. Makes for great fireworks. I used to light up 8mm film when I was a kid.

Donate them to goodwill. They're the only places I've seen that actually sell VHS tapes at this point.
My library used to have a VHS section, but hasn't in years. The format is very antiquated these days.
