I use the water from washing dishes to water the vegetable garden, potted plants, etc. That's about as grey as I go.
The added bonus in the vegetable garden is that the dish detergent doubles as an insect repellent.
That's interesting because I have read that you shouldn't use grey water on vegetables. I suppose what type of detergent is used too. I can't imagine shower water being harmful at all, to be honest.
