I am writing an article for a local paper and I need a fun, spunky label for an environmentalist for the title. The only thing I can come up with is "greenie", which isn't offensive to me, but it might be to others.

I am writing about my experiences of owning an electric bike and why they make great gifts if a Tesla isn't in the holiday budget.

I think "greenie" is a great term. Whether it is taken offensively has a lot to do with the context it is used in. I am sure it will come out fine.

I have heard many people self identify with the term Greenie so I can't imagine its that offensive.

Nobody does "green" more than I do in my neighborhood and I'm okay with "greenie" so "greenie" it shall be.
