Anyone watching this channel???

Mods, if you think this belongs on the tv thread, that's fine ... but anyway,

I've been watching for a couple weeks and was completely alarmed that they suggested people DRAFT off semis in order to get better gas mileage!!! Do they not understand what the heck they are telling people to do??? Do they not understand how close you have to get in order to truly draft?? Do they not watch NASCAR????

Oy!!! I couldn't believe I was seeing that.

Anyone??? Here's the link:

I didn't see that piece of advice (nor would I follow it) but I do watch Planet Green. I'm obsessed with Greensburg, Greenovate, and Wa$ted.

Yeah, on Treehugger they brought it up but they made sure to say that they don't recommend anyone do this.
I love Planet Green. I love Wa$ted and the G Word.
I think it's really good for people who are new to being eco-friendly. I consider myself an environmentalist or someone who cares about the environment so I love finding out new little things by watching it.

Appreciate the link to the drafting bit, but why did you sensationalize it? They repeatably mentioned doing it is unsafe and even gave the distances that are safe and unsafe.

The distances that are safe do not provide a draft. Once you fall 3-4 carlinks behind an 18 wheeler (which you should be AT LEAST that far if you are going 60mph+), the air reconverges and causes a turbulence that is not beneficial to a person driving in it.

I have been watching Planet Green recently. I really enjoy "Renovation Nation" w/Steve Thomas from "This Old House". Very informative and entertaining. Steve's real personality comes out on this show, he is quite witty and funny!

I don't think I'm sensationalizing .. just pointing out that this is an incredibly irresponsible suggestion, even if it's tempered by an italicized warning at the end .. why do it at all?

Sorry

And yes, Steve Thomas seems very very happy with his show. He was much more drab on TOS. And I'd give almost anything to go grocery shopping with Emeril!!

I do find myself gravitating to Planet Green, especially if I can't find anything else.

I've seen a few episodes of Wasted, but a lot of the other shows seem to be green renovation shows.

What other shows an I missing on Planet Green aside from the above?
